The Reposer chair with Stuart Scott

We have had the pleasure to be working with the incredible furniture designer Stuart Scott and his eponymous studio to create a joining of forces collaboration – the Reposer chair, carefully wrapped in our Storm fabric . After many iterations, playing with shape and form we settled on the solid Reposer chair to create the silhouette for our limited edition piece. The result is intriguing and inviting “the ultimate lounging chair in which to repose”

It has been wonderful to work with Stuart on this piece, his work has always stood out to me as being effortlessly chic and I admire his approach to design, perfectly pairing striking shapes with luxurious materials to create timeless, precious pieces. His practice highlights the beauty of British manufacturing with a precision and superb eye for detail.

The pattern we selected for our collaboration with Stuart is Storm specifically developed for this limited edition chair in the deepest midnight teal, printed on sumptuous Scottish linen. This spiky, meandering design, based on a gentleman’s waistcoat fabric from the early 1900’s, clambers across the chair, organically exploring its clean, geometric shape.

Each of the Stuart Scott x Flock Reposer chairs are handmade to order in Stuart’s Wiltshire workshop, they feature coil sprung seats , with feather and down cushions and before any piece leaves the workshop it is signed and individually numbered.

Stuart Scott: Jenny and I met at an International Trade Show 5 years ago. Flock’s work is fantastic and with a mutual appreciation we knew that a collaboration made perfect sense to showcase the best of British Made!

Flock’s exquisite textile designs with their bold aesthetic align perfectly with our strong statement pieces. We chose our Reposer Chair for its sumptuous features and striking special edition legs, finished in ebonised walnut with precision engineered brass fixings. Reimagined in this stunning geometric fabric, it brings a whole new dimension to the piece. We love the uniqueness of the  pattern in particular!
